Countries have charts just like people, and your relationship to them can be assessed through astrology.
Unfortunately, exact times for the birth of a country are not always available, and many that are available are
often in dispute. Despite this, much can be gained just by knowing the day, month, and year of birth.
Also, many countries go through "reincarnations" with different birth charts, but the most current is normally the one that
will be in force. Also, the race of the peoples concerned should not be confused with the national horoscope. Racial astrology
is a different matter of which there is scarce information. The national horoscope in effect accurately describes the peoples and
government of that specific time and place.
States and cities also have horoscopes, often different from the national one, but they take second or third seat to the more powerful
national chart. One can narrow down the location within a country by selecting a most compatible, state or province, and then a city.
The seven traditional planets by sign give a fairly good idea of your relationship to or within a country. If you wish to settle down to a place it's
good idea to have compatible Moons as well as compatible Saturns. You will not feel so comfortable or at home in a country, state, or city, where
your Moons are incompatible. It will be difficult to be successful or productive there. Same with Saturn signs. You will not really fit in or have
the same goals or mindset.
Compatible Sun signs will reveal a basic understanding or acceptance of the basic rules or regulations governing the nation and what is considered
important or entertaining there. Mercury signs will reveal the native's ability to learn and study there as well how he or she generally communicates
with the people. Venus to Mars(and vice versa) shows sexual compatability, love, or affection. Venus in the same sign, element, or gender as the
other's Mars is considered compatible. One way is ok, but two ways is best. The Jupiter signs reveal legal and philosophical issues as well as honors
and and rewards.
Degree aspects narrow down or intensify the general aspects shown by the signs. Jupiter in Aries and Sag, for example, will be very compatible, but
the degree may be tight with some other planet revealing other connections. In this work, only the sign will be considered.
The Ascendant and Midheaven and the "wild cards" -Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are not considered here because of their very specific and/or general
time-related natures,
and because it is not within the scope of this work to do so. If you wish to do more in-depth work, you will have to study the full chart.
National charts can be combined with astro-cartography. Astrocartography is especially valid when there is no city or country to consider -then the
influence on that locality is just
your own, but cities or nations are like finding people in your astro-locality area and are additional influences that must be considered.
Below is a list of nation horoscopes compiled mostly from Doris Chase Doane's book Accurate World Horoscopes(1984). The list has been updated/modified
to 2012 AD to include the nearly
200 countries now in existence.

Notes/statistics/observations:
More countries are born in Cancer(29) than any other Sun sign. USA, Canada, and Argentina are three biggies. Leo(26) is not far behind
with India, Pakistan, Bolivia, Peru, and Colombia leading the pack. Untill 1991 these two signs dominated by far, then the USSR collapsed and
a spate of new countries were born. Sun in Virgo shot up from 18 to 27 putting it in a close 2nd place. Capricorn comes next at 18 followed by
Scorpio and Libra tied at 16, Sagittarius and Gemini tied at 14, Aquarius at 13, and then it really plummets to Pisces at 9, Aries at 8, and
Taurus at 7.
A lot of countries gain independence when Saturn -the planet of homeland moves into Aquarius -the sign of independence. Saturn was in
Aquarius in the early 1960's when many African colonies gained independance from Britain, and in the early 1990's when many eastern European
countries gained independence from Russia. Why Saturn? Apparently it has a lot to do with nationhood. That is why I have placed it along with
the Moon in importance when deciding on a homeland or country to settle into.
